This is so true. Busty white women who get mistaken for wealthy are some of the most oppressed people in the country.

AUSTIN
AUSTIN WHERE IS THE “WON’T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE WHITE PEOPLE” PICTURE
AUSTIN YOU’RE SLACKING OFF

Ok so I don’t know if you guys are making fun of this kid or not but regardless. I’m really sick of everyone thinking racism is only a white person saying something to a black person. Plenty of black people are quite racist to white people. And it’s not even looked at. But as soon as a white person makes a racist comment to a black person they’re an asshole. How about no one is racist, hmm?

No one is racist.
No one is racist.
No one is racist.

Google “white privilege”. And learn.

Are all those “shut up” graphics supposed to be a Tumblr “social justice” attempt at shouting down those who have googled “white privilege”, given it thought, and still don’t agree with your worldview?  For instance, not quite buying the notion that any offhand comment involving black stereotypes is oppression, but any white person who doesn’t enjoy being on the receiving end of comments about racial stereotypes is a crybaby with hurt fee-fees?

You really don’t think white privilege exists? Like at all?

Not the way the tumblr “social justice” orthodoxy claims it exists, probably.  Do white people, all else equal, have it better than minorities in the USA (racial dynamics are different elsewhere in the world, so I’ll stick to my country in this)?  Well, not entirely.  Jews and Asians (both East and South) are beating them on pretty much every measure (while having faced serious discrimination in the not-too-distant past, too, but that’s another story).  Black people are well worse off, though.  Are white people considered the default?  I suppose, though they are a substantial majority of the population and probably an even bigger majority of media-creation occupations (writing, TV production, etc.) so it can hardly be claimed to be some conspiracy.  I don’t invoke malice when math can explain.
Do white people hold most of the, say, political power, or economic power?  Offhand I would think so, though it’s not clear how this gives extra power to most of the 200 million or so white Americans who don’t themselves hold significant political or economic power.
I certainly don’t believe that “white privilege” defines away the existence of racism against white people, although we’ve just picked different definitions of the word “racism”, so we may as well agree to disagree on that one before you reply that your definition of racism is prejudice plus power and minorities have no institutional power, and I reply that the definition I’m using is the one used by the rest of the world outside your small subset of leftist advocacy, because it’s just a waste of both our time.
And to go back to the image that started this whole thing, I don’t see the author as acting particularly privileged — I don’t mean in the specialized “social justice” sense, under which she would be acting privileged by virtue of existing while white, but in the sense of having it far better than others and not even knowing how to recognize that fact when slapped in the face with it — she’s not claiming being asked if her parents owned two homes is the worst thing that ever happened to anyone, or even to her, as some rebloggers seem to think.  She’s saying that all kinds of people can and do make prejudicial and often mean comments based on race, in all directions.  I don’t see how this is controversial.
